WellSpan Health is committed to delivering the safest, highest-quality care to our communities in south central Pennsylvania. WellSpan appreciates our patients who have already begun to make good choices about delaying care that is important but not immediately needed (such as preventive screenings), as well as those who are being flexible and willing to connect with us in their home or are using different WellSpan locations.

Beginning March 23, 2020, certain ambulatory and community services will be temporarily consolidated and/or suspended based on the type of service and the determination that a delay will not result in detriment to our patients.

We will be using a combination of continuity of care approaches during this time, such as postponing certain services, consolidating locations, and developing alternative approaches (e.g., home-based support).

At this time, this decision impacts the following services: Cardiac Rehabilitation, Imaging Services, Neurodiagnostics Lab, Pain Services/Pain Centers, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Pulmonary Physiology Lab, Rehabilitation Services, Sleep Centers, and Wound Care Services. Other services may be shifted in the future as well.

We believe it is the right thing to do to preserve the health and safety of our patients, visitors and staff and prevent further spread of COVID-19.

We will monitor the situation and will return to normal operations at the appropriate time.

We thank our patients in advance for their understanding.  Delaying preventive screenings or other types of routine care that can occur when the COVID-19 pandemic subsides, protects our patients and their caregivers.
