Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine: To serve a community by providing a superior standard of cardiovascular care to our patients. Cardiovascular medicine allows physicians to achieve excellence in utilizing ever so empowering evolution of newer medications for heart disease, with state-of-the-art technology to provide care in a compassionate and effective manner, promoting healthier and happier lifestyles. With the continued advancing clinical research in cardiac and vascular medicine, this has always intrigued me into following a career where we can make life-changing decisions and care, every day with every patient.
What patient should expect when they come to an appointment with me: Every patient can expect a very professional demeanor at all times, yet is caring, a fun individual who has a passion for medicine, and has remained in our community solely, to take care of all our patients. With my experience in cardiovascular medicine, I have learned how to prioritize well, and have learned to have a logical approach to problem-solving along with deductive reasoning skills for the better of every patient care encounter.
What I am doing when I am not seeing patients: After living in several countries including growing up on a farm in Africa, I have taken to nature which often leads me to do gardening, taking care of my fish pond, and as many outdoors adventures that I can try out. In my other time I tend to travel to neighboring cities where I love to eat at restaurants where every other foody has been to.
