Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine: Working in healthcare always appealed to me. I knew that nursing would give me the opportunity to impact peoples’ lives. It’s an honor to help people when they most need it.
What patients should expect when they come to an appointment with me: You should feel comfortable asking questions and you should expect answers that you can understand. You’re in charge and I work for you.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients: In addition to practicing at Summit Cardiology, I also teach at Penn State. My wife and I have four kids and we enjoy our regular trips to the Outer Banks and Maine. The rest of our time is usually spent schlepping kids to football or lacrosse events.
